Ivan was so patient with our group and when the wine was running short, he ran to the kitchen.. and I mean "ran" and refilled it for us. Clearly a guy who loves his job and works hard. “Great tasting of 3 local wines and 5 (although we only expected 3) local cheeses. It was held in the back room of a cheese shop and had a lovely intimate atmosphere. Our host was knowledgeable, informative and friendly. We loved it!”
Travel from Oviedo or Cangas de Onís to Poncebos and Bulnes with an English or Spanish guide. Ride the eight-minute underground funicular, explore the mountain village, then visit a Cabrales cheese cave in Arenas for a cider and cheese tasting.

Meet Ivan at Quesos Sa Roqueta in Ferreries for a 2.5-hour farm visit focused on Mahon-Menorca cheese. You will feed cows, give milk to calves, make and personalize cheese, then taste products made on the farm. Tours run in English or Spanish for up to six people.

He provided us with a lot of interesting information about the farm, the animals and the production of cheese in both English and Spanish. It was also a very exciting experience to prepare the Mahon cheeses ourselves. The cows and calf’s were adorable and it was very nice to be able to pet them. Lovely sightseeing which I can absolutely recommend anyone who is visiting Menorca!!”
At Quesería Montesdeoca, you meet local goats, visit the working cheese factory, and learn how fresh, smoked, semicured, and aged cheeses are made. A guide leads this one-hour, wheelchair-accessible visit in English, Spanish, Bulgarian, or Serbo-Croatian, ending with three cheese samples.
Meet at Things to Do Córdoba at 6 p.m. for a 90-minute tasting led by hosts such as Bárbara, Mara, Gloria, Adrian, or José. The setting is usually indoors, not an open-air sunset view.

No sunset in view but the host, Gloria, was a ray of sunshine 🌞 She is very well versed in the world of Spanish wines, cheese and olive oils!! We returned the next day for an in-depth olive oil tasting which was an equally enjoyable experience!”
